I have been a counselor at Jefferson High School since Spring 2015. I have a BA in Political Science, a Master's Degree in Child Development and Pupil Personnel Services Credential. Prior to working as a counselor I spent 8 years working for a partnership between Cal State LA and LAUSD in East Los Angeles. I served as a tutor, academic advisor, counselor and site coordinator for the program. The goal of the program was to increase the number of students attending college, so it is no wonder that at Jefferson one of my roles is to serve as the College and Career Counselor. I am also responsible for PSAT and AP testing and assist with credit-recovery programs.
I am a native of Los Angeles and a graduate of a LAUSD High School. I am excited to be working at Jefferson because I believe that every student deserves a quality education and the chance achieve their dreams.
